10th European Deaf Ahtletics Championships 2019

22 to 27 July in Bochum-Wattenscheid

As predicted right from the beginning the competitions of the EDAC219 had been dominated by the participants of Russia and Ukraine.

After the 100m run three of the four Ukrainian starters stood on the winner’s rostrum; Mykola Nosenko, Dmytro Vyshynski and Oleksandr Dmytryyenko.

Winner of the 100m events women was Elaine Den Exter from Netherlands and Lenka Matouskva from the Czech Republic got silver and et an new championships record.

After the first competitions Ota Pansky of the European Deaf Sports Organization officially opened the EDAC2019 in a festive ceremony with prominent visitors from politics and local and federal supporters.

Allthough various title went to Czechia, Poland and Turkey the medal score is led by Russia with 18 medals all in all.
